καὶ περικαλύπτειν is missing from Mark 14:65 D et al. Could this have been an interpolation based on Luke? Matthew doesn't have it. Streeter, Four Gospels, 326, makes a compelling case. (But see Neirynck's in Evangelica II.) ἐπηρώτων λέγοντες is ελεγον in Lk 22:64 D and δέροντες is missing in Lk 22:63 D. |

While it is possible that this saying came down in oral tradition, the word-for-word agreement here, in light of other evidence for Q here, suggests that Matthew and Luke reflect a Q wording here. | |
